As i sit in this coffee shop, Java Break, as I did when i was in college…

Before I was known as a singer to anyone.

Before I started my family

Before I met THE woman.

I’m realizing how much has happened since this then. 2000 doesnt seem that long ago…

… all of the things I’ve been a part of and taken a hold of as I’ve become less scared and more adventurous.

I have many moments when I’m as unsure of myself and my future, as I was then. But now I feel, once more (you know how you seem to learn lessons and then seem to learn them again, realizing you haven’t yet overcame them..) that I have so many reasons to feel thankful for what i do have, and do what I can for others who may need support, in any way. 

I will continue to seek ways to calm my frustrations and constant need to think ahead, rather than enjoy the present. I will continue to feel and know that the present is all that exists. I’ll continue to strive to end my ties to things i don’t believe in, and, well…

To you, I will

- commit to using increasingly sustainable ways to create and share music (digital is least wasteful, yes?)
- commit to do as I preach and not promote things I haven't actually done and changed in my own life (food, housing, politics, etc)
- increase my knowledge of world affairs and share the positive ways you and I may make an impact.
- continue to be honest, up front, accessible, and create the best music i can given the time and resources that I have at my disposal.

Thank you for your ongoing encouragement and support.
Now, I’m going to go and hangout w/ my good ol’ pal Approach and guests at the Jackpot, just like old times…
