When i started to dive into the beautiful world of the internet I discovered Napster. Then as I went to college, and utilized the incredibly fast speeds offered there for free to all students (much faster than I had at home in high school), I started learning about mp3.com and then myspace.com as ways to upload and share my original music. I loved this.

While working on campus at the computer lab, I’d search the net for info on music and topics i wanted to explore. In terms of exploring music, Gilles Peterson and his BBC Radio 1 Show “Worldwide” was the way I learned about all of the amazing music that is soul and electronic influenced.. and often comes out of the UK or Europe as a whole. For like minded USA artists, it seemed to be one of the only main outlets.

It’s been a few years… and I’ve been played on the BBC quite a few times since then, and I appreciate all of the people who have made that happen. However Gilles’ show always holds a certain place in my heart for introducing me to so many amazing songs and musicians those many years ago. And now, to learn my relationship continues with the worldwide music scene and the BBC/Gilles show as well… makes me feel good…. and grateful. Especially since i have no idea how he got this song. The fact that it made its way to him somehow from my computer and mind to his… is great. I released it myself, I’m proud its got to him. Now.. how… is the question
